I am based in Palo Alto, California (formerly Charlottesville, VA) and specialize in
assignment, sports, action and travel photography.
My work has appeared in a variety of publications including: Sports
Illustrated, ESPN The Magazine, Sporting News, ESPN.com, NikeSoccer.com, The
Chronicle of Higher Education, USA Today, U.S. News and World Report, ABCNews.com,
Perth (Australia) Sunday Times, LA Times, Chicago Tribune, The Oregonian,
Boston Herald, Richmond Times-Dispatch, The (Columbia, SC) State,
and the Charlottesville Daily Progress.
I am a SportsShooter senior member, as well as a member of the National Press
Photographers Association (NPPA), Picture Licensing Universal System (PLUS) Coalition, American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP) and Editorial
Photographers (EP).
I earned my Bachelors Degree from the University of Virginia
in Cognitive Science with a concentration in Computer Science and
minor in Astronomy. I then completed my Master of Business
Administration degree with a concentration in Information Systems
Management from George Mason University.
My interests include cycling, running, skiing, documenting historical markers, and playing the
cello. On the bike, I raced for the University of Virginia's Cycling
Team. As a cellist I have performed with the
Charlottesville-University Symphony Orchestra, the
University-Shenandoah Symphony Orchestra, the Richmond Philharmonic
Orchestra, New Lyric Theatre, Four County Players and Heritage
Repertory Theatre's summer musical productions.
